I have been biting my lip for some time now. It seems every day I see yet another news story about our food freedom being stripped away. The truth gets twisted to sound like a lie and lies twisted to sound like the truth. It seems our country is rapidly eroding from a tidal wave of moral ambiguity.
I'm concerned. Actually, I'm heartbroken. In these trying times, we are seeing a blatant disregard for our freedom, the complete abandonment of God in our public schools and government, and a misinterpretation of the constitution, which will be soon changed from “We the people of the United States” to “We the corporations of the United States”.
In a recent article by Natural News, “Farmer forced to shoot his own baby piglets in cold blood”, I’m reminded of 1 Timothy 4:1-5 which says:
1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
3Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
4For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
5For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
What is said in the aforementioned scripture is happening in America today. Lobbyist, representing large factory food corporations, pay to get laws passed to discourage this new food uprising. (Control the food source, that’s their modus operandi.) This in turn, tightens the noose around the small farmers’ neck. Essentially, demonizing pasture raised animals through propaganda, lies, and strict, unconstitutional laws. Hence, the stripping away our free will to make the right food choices to feed our families, not to mention the ongoing violations of the Fourth Amendment in the Bill of Rights.
I hope this has connected with you on some level, as it has me. With that, I’m done writing for today.
Great article. It is really hard to see American's just stand pat and believe someone else will fix the problem if they wait long enough. Thanks for being a voice for the un-heard.

Take heart, my friend!
ReplyDeleteUp until very recently, most Americans couldn't even see the mess. As a result of your ministry and your mission, combined with many others like you all that has changed.
Two years ago when I first met you, I can honestly say I had no idea any of this was happening. In just two short years I have learned to:
--buy locally
--eat only locally grown grass fed, grass finished beef
--stop eating any non organic corn product
--raise my own chickens for eggs and meat
--meet and talk to food producers, and not just accept that they are "probably" raising the food in a way I would want
--homeschool my child, and teach him the truth about the world he lives in and where food comes from
--network with others to continue to grow and learn
--pass on information and ideas so we can all make better decisions and STAND UP together
And here's the really important part--I AM NOT UNIQUE!
Things are getting better--which is exactly why the big food producers are now "running scared". They know we're coming, and that we're not misinformed, tricked, or influenced anymore by their pretty packaging and misleading labels.
You're making a difference.
Thanks Martha. We really appreciate everything you and Brian do for us.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your article.this is more the reason to carry on with our little acreage to provide for ourselves.Ty for sharing your thoughts and knowledge.
ReplyDeleteYou exactly right, SmithGang. Thank you for commenting.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your sentiment. But I don't want the same people that have bastardized education to bastardize religion. And I certainly don't want those same people bureaucratically forcing Islam down our kids' throats. Most people don't realize that, historically speaking, in America, religion was always thought to be far too sacred a thing than to be taught at school. Parents proudly did that at home and in church. Now, if we could get more parents to do that... I'm all for it. Just wanted to share my perspective. Here's to growing freely!
